Cobb & Jones are recruiting exclusively for an FP&A Accountant on a 6 Month Fixed Term Contract for our client based near Dartford. We’re looking for a sharp, ambitious and detail-driven Finance Planning & Analysis Accountant to join a high-performing Group Finance team and drive forward critical planning, forecasting and analytical functions across UK, Europe, and Australia operations.
Responsibilities:
· Own the group monthly forecasting and budgeting processes – analyse, challenge, and shape the financial direction of the business.
· Deliver insightful reporting and executive-level commentary to drive strategic decision-making.
· Consolidate and report monthly Group cashflow forecasts and partner closely with international teams.
· Lead financial modelling for key business scenarios and support investment and operational decisions with powerful analysis.
· Collaborate with Group Strategy, Transformation and Treasury teams to support long-range planning and performance governance.
· Identify and champion process improvements, systems enhancements and alignment opportunities across global hubs.
Profile:
· A qualified accountant (ICAEW, ACCA, CIMA or equivalent).
· A confident communicator who can engage and influence senior leaders – finance and non-finance alike.
· Experience in a fast-paced, evolving environment, with strong attention to accuracy and detail.
· Expertise in cashflow forecasting, liquidity management, and performance analysis.
· Highly motivated, analytical and resilient, with a knack for solving complex problems in innovative ways.
· Advanced skills in Excel, Power BI, PowerPoint or Python.
· Experience in engineering or construction industries.
· A passion for transformation, systems, and strategic planning.
