Job Summary
As an FP&A Analyst, you’ll be at the heart of financial decision-making. From building robust financial models to preparing board-level reports, your work will directly support investment decisions, strategic planning, and operational performance across a group of companies with interests in development, engineering, and manufacturing. You’ll collaborate with teams across the business — from operations to planning — to ensure financial insights are not just accurate, but actionable.
Profile:
- Formally Qualified – (ACA, ACCA or CIMA) with significant PQE experience in a relevant field, happy to consider QBE with significant modelling experience in a suitable industry.
- Analytically sharp – You’re confident with Excel and financial modelling, and you know how to turn complex data into clear insights.
- Commercially aware – You understand how numbers connect to business performance and strategic goals.
- A confident communicator – Whether it’s a board pack or a quick presentation, you can explain financial concepts to non-financial audiences.
- Detail-oriented but big-picture minded – You’re comfortable diving into the numbers but always keep the broader business context in view.
- Industry-savvy – Experience in construction or housebuilding is a bonus, but not essential.
Responsibilities:
- Build and maintain financial models to support budgeting, forecasting, and strategic planning.
- Analyse financial data and KPIs to identify trends, explain variances, and support performance reviews.
- Collaborate with departments across the business to provide financial insights and challenge assumptions.
- Prepare reports and presentations for senior leadership and external stakeholders.
- Contribute to the development of long-term strategy through data-driven analysis.
- Integrate data from multiple sources into cohesive financial narratives.
