We are seeking an experienced Interim Financial Controller to join a well-established organisation on a 12 month fixed term basis. This role will play a key part in ensuring accurate financial reporting, strong balance sheet control, and smooth month- and year-end processes.

 

Working closely with senior stakeholders and external advisors, you will be responsible for the preparation of management accounts, supporting statutory reporting, and maintaining robust financial controls. You will also contribute to budgeting, forecasting, and periodic reporting, ensuring deadlines are met and information is clear, accurate, and reliable.

 

Key responsibilities include:

·       Preparing timely and accurate management accounts and supporting schedules

·       Maintaining balance sheet integrity, including reconciliations and fixed assets

·       Supporting year-end reporting and liaising with external auditors

·       Contributing to budgets, forecasts, and longer-term financial planning

·       Overseeing key reporting routines and ensuring compliance with internal controls

 

About you:

·       The candidate will be fully qualified – ACA, ACCA or CIMA

·       Proven experience in a Financial Controller role

·       Strong attention to detail and a structured approach to deadlines

·       Confident communicator, able to work with both finance and non-finance colleagues

·       Excellent Excel skills and general systems literacy
