This is a great opportunity for an ambitious part qualified Management Accountant, to join an expanding services business who have adopted a hybrid working style. In this role you will take a lead on preparing the management accounts, as well as supporting and influencing the operational team to ensure that they get the information and advice that they need.

 

Responsibilities will include:

·       Prepare monthly management accounts, including accruals, prepayments, journals, and month-end close activities.

·       Manage the month-end timetable and liaise with stakeholders to ensure timely submission of information and resolution of queries.

·       Produce monthly reporting packs including variance analysis (actual vs budget/forecast/prior year) with clear commentary on key movements.

·       Ensure balance sheet integrity through timely reconciliations, investigation of variances and resolution of reconciling items.

·       Maintain and improve financial controls, ensuring compliance with internal procedures and agreed authority limits.

·       Support the Finance team by providing accurate month-end reporting and analysis to inform decision-making.

·       Support product pricing activity including maintenance

·       Support cash flow forecasting

·       Oversee operational finance

·       Support VAT processing and associated reporting requirements as applicable.

·       Support year-end audit processes and provide financial information/analysis as required.

·       Provide oversight of compliance-related aspects of the business

·       Be aware of changes in regulation and legislation and new industry developments -

·       Assist with other finance tasks and ad hoc duties as required.

·       Regulatory monitoring and reporting (FCA).


What you will need:

·       Minimum Part-Qualified accountant (e.g., CIMA, ACCA/ACA)

·       Strong understanding of balance sheet reconciliations and financial controls.

·       Experience preparing variance analysis and performance commentary.

·       Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.

·       Advanced Excel skills and confidence working with large datasets.

·       Strong communication skills with ability to work collaboratively with finance and non-finance stakeholders.

·       Team player with ability to work across multi-disciplined teams.
