We are partnering with a highly respected, international business, who are looking for an Assistant Management Accountant to join their finance team.

This role will play a crucial part in supporting the preparation, analysis, and reporting of financial information that helps Management in strategic planning, budgeting, and controlling costs. You will contribute to enhancing the efficiency of the Finance Department, ensuring the effective use of their ERP system, and supporting the Senior Management Accountants.

 

Key Responsibilities

Monthly Management Accounts:

·       Assist in the preparation of Monthly Management Accounts for all overseas subsidiaries.

·       Intercompany reconciliations, Bank, Sales, and Purchase Ledger reconciliations. Preparation and posting of Prepayments, Accruals, and Fixed Asset and other journals.

·       Assisting with Balance Sheet Reconciliation if required.

Financial Reporting:

·       Support the preparation of information for financial statements and other financial reports that provide critical insights into the company’s financial performance.

·       Monitor and report on business expenses, ensuring accurate recording and effective cost management.

Year-End Audit Preparation:

·       Contribute to the preparation of year-end audit files, ensuring all necessary documentation is accurate and readily available.

Cross-Functional Support:

·       Work with the Group Financial Controller and Senior Management Accountants to identify and implement process improvements and efficiencies in transactional processing across the Group.

Data Accuracy & Compliance:

·       Ensure the accuracy of all financial transactions, adhering to organisational accounting policies, relevant regulations and are consistent.

·       Assist in the preparation and submission of VAT, Intrastats, and other statutory reports for EU countries.

·       Collaborate with external accounting and tax advisors to ensure full compliance with regulations in all EU countries.

 

Role Requirements

·       AAT Level 4 qualified (minimum), with active study towards ACCA or CIMA

·       Knowledge of ERP systems and processes.

·       Very good excel skills.

·       Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities under tight deadlines.

·       A proactive approach to problem-solving and process improvement.
