We’re seeking a highly organised and detail‑focused Payroll & Accounting Administrator to join our clients Finance team. This role is ideal for someone with UK payroll experience who enjoys variety, values accuracy, and wants to broaden their exposure across finance operations. You’ll manage UK payroll end‑to‑end, support European payrolls, assist with core finance tasks, and oversee company fleet administration.
Key Responsibilities:
UK Payroll (Primary Focus):
· Process monthly UK payroll end‑to‑end.
· Maintain accurate payroll records (starters, leavers, benefits, pay changes).
· Calculate statutory payments (SSP, SMP, SPP).
· Ensure PAYE, NI and RTI compliance.
· Reconcile payroll reports and resolve discrepancies.
· Respond to employee payroll queries.
· Collaborate with HR on employee changes.
· Support year‑end tasks (P60s, P11Ds).
European Payroll Support:
· Assist with preparation and coordination of European payrolls.
· Liaise with external payroll providers and internal teams.
· Ensure timely and accurate submission of employee data.
· Support compliance with local statutory and tax requirements.
Finance & Accounting Support:
· Assist with daily finance operations, including: expenses, tax submissions and accounts payable invoice posting as needed.
Fleet Administration
· Maintain accurate company vehicle records (allocations, mileage).
· Ensure correct payroll processing for vehicles.
· Coordinate servicing, MOTs, insurance and renewals.
· Monitor fleet costs and flag variances.
· Act as the main contact for vehicle‑related queries.
General Administration:
· Provide administrative support to the finance team.
· Maintain confidentiality of payroll and financial information.
· Contribute to process improvements across payroll and finance.
What You’ll Bring
· Experience processing UK payroll.
· Strong understanding of PAYE, NI and statutory payments.
· Basic accounting knowledge and experience supporting finance operations.
· Excellent accuracy and attention to detail.
· Strong organisational and time‑management skills.
· Confident Excel user.
· Ability to handle confidential information professionally.
· Experience supporting European payrolls.
· Experience managing company fleet administration
