Key Responsibilities:
· Manage a portfolio of customer accounts, ensuring timely collection of outstanding balances.
· Conduct proactive credit control activity via phone and email, maintaining accurate records of all interactions.
· Investigate and resolve invoice, payment and credit note queries, working closely with internal teams and customers.
· Accurately post and allocate customer payments, resolving unallocated cash promptly.
· Produce customer statements and supply supporting documentation such as copy invoices.
· Review and action daily credit hold lists, escalating high‑risk accounts where required.
· Assist with credit checks, monitor customer payment behaviour and flag potential bad debts.
· Maintain accurate customer account information and update portals/EDI systems where applicable.
· Support ageing reviews, internal reporting and wider finance team tasks.
· Contribute to process improvements and ensure credit control procedures are consistently followed.
The Ideal Candidate Will Be:
· Experienced in credit control, accounts receivable or a similar finance function.
· A strong communicator with confidence in managing customer relationships.
· Highly organised, accurate and able to prioritise a busy workload.
· Analytical, proactive and able to investigate and resolve queries efficiently.
· Comfortable working with finance systems and maintaining high‑quality data.
· A team player who brings a positive, solutions‑focused approach.
