As a Senior Payroll Administrator, you will play a key role in delivering an accurate and timely end-to-end payroll service. Working as part of a dedicated team, you will take ownership of payroll processes, ensuring compliance, accuracy, and a high level of service to employees and stakeholders.

Key Responsibilities

  • End-to-end payroll processing, ensuring employees are paid accurately and on time
  • Managing starters, leavers, salary changes, and statutory payments
  • Processing overtime, expenses, and additional pay elements
  • Running reports, performing data checks, and validating payroll information
  • Maintaining compliance with internal controls and external regulations
  • Supporting audit requirements and governance standards
  • Collaborating with internal teams and third-party providers to meet deadlines
  • Contributing to process improvements and continuous development of payroll operations

About You

  • Proven experience in payroll administration within a medium to large organisation
  • Strong understanding of payroll processes, compliance, and statutory requirements
  • Experience working with complex workforce arrangements (e.g. varying contracts or working rules)  
  • Confident using payroll systems and Excel (e.g. pivot tables, lookups)
  • Highly organised with excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Strong communication skills with the ability to build effective working relationships
  • Professional, proactive, and able to work to tight deadlines
