We are partnering with a highly successful international product-based business seeking an experienced Finance Business Partner to become the go-to finance expert for pricing, margin optimisation and commercial decision support. This is a high-profile standalone role offering exceptional visibility across the organisation and genuine influence over commercial strategy.
This is not a traditional reporting-focused finance position. Approximately 25% of your time will be dedicated to deep analytical work, financial modelling and profitability analysis, with the remainder focused on partnering with commercial, operational and senior leadership teams to drive better decisions, improve pricing performance and maximise profitability.

Key Responsibilities:
Pricing, Profitability & Commercial Insight
- Take ownership of pricing frameworks and pricing governance across the business.
- Deliver robust profitability analysis, identifying risks, trends and opportunities to improve margins.
- Analyse customer, channel and product performance to support commercial decision-making.
- Provide meaningful insight into gross profit performance and key profitability drivers.
- Support strategic pricing initiatives and recommendations that enhance commercial outcomes.
Financial Modelling, Forecasting & Analytics
- Develop and maintain sophisticated pricing, revenue and margin models.
- Lead pricing inputs into budgets, forecasts and long-range planning cycles.
- Conduct scenario modelling and commercial evaluations to support strategic decisions.
- Perform detailed analysis of large and complex datasets to identify actionable insights.
- Evaluate commercial initiatives and provide post-investment analysis and recommendations.
Business Partnering & Stakeholder Management
- Act as a trusted finance partner to commercial, operational and leadership teams.
- Translate complex financial data into clear and actionable recommendations.
- Challenge and influence decision-making around pricing, margin improvement and commercial performance.
- Present insights confidently to senior stakeholders across the business.
- Support key business decisions through a fact-based, analytical approach.
Continuous Improvement
- Identify opportunities to improve pricing processes, controls and governance.
- Drive efficiencies through automation, simplification and enhanced reporting.
- Collaborate cross-functionally to develop meaningful KPIs and performance measures.
- Help build scalable processes that support future business growth.
Profile:
We're looking for an ambitious finance professional who combines strong analytical capability with exceptional commercial awareness and stakeholder engagement skills.
- Experience as a Finance Business Partner, Commercial Finance Manager or Senior Finance Analyst.
- A background within a product-based, manufacturing, FMCG, wholesale, distribution or similar commercial environment.
- Strong experience in pricing, margin analysis, commercial finance, FP&A or profitability management.
- Advanced Excel and financial modelling capability, with exposure to ERP and BI tools.
- The ability to work confidently with large datasets and transform data into commercially relevant insights.
- A proven track record of influencing stakeholders and supporting strategic business decisions.
- Outstanding communication and presentation skills.
- A proactive, curious and solutions-focused approach.
- The confidence to operate independently and take ownership of a critical finance function.
