The opportunity

A well-established, multi-business group is looking for a Head of Transformation to lead and coordinate its group-wide transformation agenda.

Reporting to the CFO, this is a senior role that is both strategic and hands-on. You will work across finance, procurement, operations, commercial and IT to align people, processes and systems, shape the group's technology roadmap, and make sure change is delivered properly and its benefits are actually realised.

A central part of the brief is overseeing the group's introduction of agentic AI, with the governance to match. It will suit a transformation leader with a strong delivery track record who wants a genuinely broad remit, direct access to the executive team, and the chance to shape how a diverse group operates for the long term.

What you'll be doing

  • Lead the group's transformation agenda, ensuring change is delivered effectively with strong business change support across people, processes and systems
  • Partner with the CFO, CEO, COO and Managing Directors to identify opportunities for operational and commercial improvement
  • Oversee the introduction of agentic AI across the group, establishing strong governance procedures around it
  • Work with the IT Manager to review existing infrastructure, platforms and software, and develop a transformation plan that supports the group's long-term strategic goals
  • Monitor current IT architecture alongside emerging technologies to identify best practice
  • Establish and oversee robust programme governance processes
  • Set programme budgets and report against them
  • Report to the CFO and CEO on programme performance against defined KPIs, ensuring financial and operational benefits are tracked and realised
  • Lead and develop a small team with both onshore and offshore members, building capability, accountability and delivery standards

About you

Essential

  • At least three years' leadership experience in a similar transformation role
  • A proven track record of delivering transformation programmes
  • Strong programme and project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple projects at once
  • Experience of implementing ERP systems, such as Oracle, SAP, Microsoft Dynamics or industry-specific platforms
  • Excellent stakeholder management and influencing skills, confident communicating at every level up to executive team
  • Strong organisational skills and close attention to detail
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Advanced computer literacy across the Microsoft suite
  • Personable and approachable, with a curiosity to learn and understand different areas of the business
  • Willing to go the extra mile around key project delivery deadlines

Desirable

  • A degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Information Technology or a related field
  • Experience in a project-led or asset-intensive environment, such as construction, property, engineering, manufacturing or industrial services
